Lines of Inquiry
Lines of Inquiry (2018) looks into and through domestic windows. Some days the light and flaws in the glass create constellations, other days organic shapes and anatomical drawings; usually there are maps and glimpses of bodies.
My hand is at play here as well as I adjust the tones and color to suit the occasion. However, these tales do not last long. Fluctuating combinations of moisture, light, and air produce ephemeral glimpses and clues that if I follow attentively will lead to a wider cosmology of myth, sensuality, and mystery.
I believe the work is mirroring the way I, as an artist, navigate the world seeing beauty and stories in the every day, in the flawed and the unexplored.
