Lines of Inquiry
Lines of Inquiry looks into and through domestic windows. Some days the light and flaws in the glass create constellations, other days organic shapes and anatomical drawings; usually there are maps and glimpses of bodies.
My hand is at play here as well as I adjust the tones and color to suit the occasion. However, these tales do not last long. Fluctuating combinations of moisture, light, and air produce ephemeral glimpses and clues that if I follow attentively will lead to a wider cosmology of myth, sensuality, and mystery.
I believe the work is mirroring the way I, as an artist, navigate the world seeing beauty and stories in the everyday, in the flawed and the unexplored.
